The 2024 GMC Hummer EV has already sold out
Even at over $100,000 a pop!
When GMC announced the imminent arrival of the Hummer EV just a matter of days ago, it was only going to be a matter of time before it became a hit, and in this case it was instant.
News has just broken out that Hummer has already sold out of 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1s costing at least $105,595 (or $110,595 with the Extreme Off-Road Package) a pop.
Like the Hummer EV Edition 1 truck which was revealed last October, not only has the SUV variant sold out, but it did so in less than an hour.
We don't know exactly how many build slots there are, but it can't be unlimited at this stage if they've all sold out. Speculations range anywhere from 500 units to 5,000 units as no one knows and GMC doesn't wish to comment on the matter.
Those who tried to purchase the truck, but were turned down because they weren't fast enough, will have their reservation transferred to a lesser-specced car. It's still possible Edition 1 allocations will be increased, just as Ford did with the First Edition Broncos, but only time will tell.
There's also a $100 refundable deposit if customers do change their minds, but we doubt they will after GMC claims the Hummer EV will come with over 800hp and 11,500 lb-ft of torque from its tri-motor setup.
