The 21 funniest tweets from a manic Singapore Grand Prix
The first corner was the stuff of nightmares for Ferrari
Well, that was a bit of a decent tonic after the dull affair we had last time out in Monza. Any time rain is involved you can be sure of an increase in the entertainment level.
It is fair to say though, that this race hinged not on the weather but on another moment of brain-fade from Sebsatian Vettel, who squeezed Max Verstappen into Kimi Raikkonen, eliminating all three of them within 100 metres and also taking out Fernando Alonso, who was potentially on for his best race for three years.
Lewis Hamilton could not believe his luck and despite some tyre worries, he cruised around to the win, followed by Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas with Carlos Sainz a career best fourth.
That then, was how it played out on track. Our man on Twitter, @GrandPrixDiary, kept an eye on things for us there...

Well, that fact will no doubt add to Sergio Marchionne's great mood.
9. Deck chair time
Meanwhile, over on Instagram, Alonso knows what may have been.

Forget the stewards inquiry, Ferrari have their own version of events. Dream on...

Lap 35 and Sergio Perez is well and truly on a march.
12. We need to talk to you Kevin
Magnussen tells his race engineer to shut up, twice on one lap. He's only doing his job Kev..
13. Stay out there, it will be safer
Probably avoiding the team debrief.
14. Tick-Tock
And it becomes a timed race, not enough time to get the laps in.
15. Palmer Karma
Well, it would be a nice send off.
16. Record breaker!
