This is a proper gem lost in Time. Yuji Kase, the boss of Cusco Racing/Carrosser campaigned this monstruous EG33 Turbocharged, mid-engined Subaru Impreza in the crazy Class D of Japan Dirt Trial series for almost a decade. A 600+hp Monster powered by a flat-six engine and sporting an aluminium monocoque, Cusco’s own long stroke suspension, among many other bespoke parts, this Beast is probably the most unique rally-spec Impreza ever.

For those with a keener eye, they'll see the similarities with the GT300 Impreza's that Cusco prepared for the Super GT series, and that would be a correct guess since both cars share the same platform. In this clip it's possible to see this Monster's two different versions in a period span that lasted between 2000 to 2004. And before that, believe it or not, this machine had its looks based on the Porsche 911... but that's a story for another day...

Also important to note, and good to give some context on how capable this machine was in its different versions, is the fact that the period during which it competed it utterly dominated the All Japan Dirt Trial Series, ending years of domination by a certain Nobuhiro Tajima and a quite unique Suzuki Swift/Cultus...
