The £655k Ferrari '250 GTO' with 600hp: The dream restomod

And it's for sale!

For the last few years, the Ferrari 250 GTO has been the world's most expensive car with the most recent auction selling for over £50 million, which is a hell of a lot of money. This makes this one of, if not, the most desirable classic cars in the world.

But what if I told you, you could have one for a fraction of the price? Well, Jonny Smith AKA Carpervert AKA The Late Brake Show host has just released a video where he takes us around this beautiful brute of a restomod and shows us what is what.

I won't go into too much detail in this article as you should really watch the video, but the story behind this car is incredible. It has the V12 engine from a Ferrari 575 Maranello and is dubbed the 400i Speciale.

And on top of that, this car is actually for sale at a cool £655k which when you consider everything that's gone into it, it's a find deal.

  • A 250 GTO with FRICKN 600 BHP, what's not to love?

  • I’m just not sure about it. Yes it has great mechanicals, stunning looks and impeccable performance but it’s like putting a 20 year old mechanism from a Rolex Datejust into homemade Submariner case. Yes it will perform but is it something you’d wear proudly? I’m not sure.
