The All-New Shelby Super Snake Is Here
Because the Demon can't have all the fun.
About a year ago, I was invited to a Shelby launch. It was exciting; one of my first press events as a budding young journalist. The sights were new. I knew no one, and quite frankly, wasn't quite sure what to do with myself. What are they even revealing today anyway?
Come to find out it's a launch event for their F-150 Super Snake. That's all fine and dandy, but what about a new sports car? Something to carry the legacy of the Cobra after Carroll Shelby's passing? Then it rolls out. A Mustang widebody concept. A complete update to the Mustang's suspension. Not an available product yet, but it's something they've been working on since the S550 platform first came out.
Finally, we have a practical application of the Shelby widebody concept. They've taken the idea behind their Super Snake car--an engineering exercise that includes companies like Borla and Wilwood to significantly increase the power output of the S550 Mustang up to 750 hp.
Now, they've bundled it all together in a fresh package to create the ultimate Mustang--for the reasonably high price of around $130,000.
