The numbers alone are enough to boggle the mind. 1/4 mile in under four seconds. 14,000 horsepower and 12,000 ft/lbs of torque. 20 litres of nitromethane a second and the Β£100,000 engine rebuilds.   • If you’ve never attended such an event in person I recommend it, however I strongly suggest we protection. When these things take off, the ground vibrates enough to blur your vision. Each run is more of a seismic event than a car race.
