2020 - COVER ART FOR SCUDERIA FERRARI

Scuderia Ferrari introduces, cover artist, Alberto Dal Lago!

THE ART OF FORMULA 1 | SAKHIR, BAHRAIN | WITH ARTIST, ALBERTO DAL LAGO

Like a warrior escaping the towers of Barad-dûr and Orthanc, Charles Leclerc races across the modified Bahrain International Circuit as one champion to rule them all in this fated and fantastical rendition of the first ever Sakhir Grand Prix!

DID YOU KNOW?

the buildings depicted in the cover above are that of the Bahrain Financial Harbour. These Harbour towers are the tallest buildings in Bahrain and stand at 853 feet tall (Not to be confused with Bahrain's world trade center towers which are the second tallest buildings in Bahrain, and are a modern marvel connected with three sky bridges, housing wind turbines which help power the structure).

MEET THE ARTIST - ALBERTO DAL LAGO

This week's artist is the official cover artist for Lone Wolf, a book series that I personally own and love. After corresponding with Alberto, I went back to the bookshelf and started reading the series once again. It's always exciting to meet the talented cover artists of Scuderia Ferrari!

Alberto Dal Lago is an Italian illustrator working in the field of Fantasy fiction and gaming (Wizards of The Coast, Paizo Publishing, Privateer Press) and children's books (Mondadori, Lisciani Giochi, Edizioni Piemme, Salani, Gainsworth Publishing). He is the official cover artist for the historic series of gamebooks Lone Wolf, created by Joe Dever and published in Italy by RavenDistribution/Vincent Books Editore. He has collaborated with Ares Giochi on boardgames for the series Sword & Sorcery, worked on two Lords for the Ring calendars, and he has participated in a celebrative issue of Dampyr for Sergio Bonelli Editore, presented at LuccaC&G 2018. Moreover, he has illustrated several cards for the game Fantasy Riders, for Panini Comics España. He was the cover artist and illustrator for the series The Necronomicon Gamebook, created by Valentino Sergi. He teaches Digital Illustration and Concept Art at the International School of Comics in Padua, Italy. - Ferrari
