I just wanted to tell the story of how I became a diecast nut. Growing up we didn't have a lot of money. But we always had a freezer full of beef and a huge farm to roam around on and have adventures. I wouldn't trade that for anything. I grew up on a family run dairy and while I didn't have all the cool toys there was always tons of fun farm equipment to climb around on or ride around with grandpa. Anyway going to the store and getting a hot wheel was a big thing and I was a gear head from a young age and loved anything mechanical. The dairy was shut down just before I would have really been old enough to help out and I do miss it sometimes. So the main reason I collect is that it was hard to come by a diecast in my younger days and my wife not only encourages me she collects as well. I love all of my cars diecast and otherwise last count on full size cars was over 10 and I gave up but I might would trade it all for another round of silage cutting with grandpa in the 9700 Ford tractor.
