The BMW M2 CS is almost as expensive as the 8 Series Gran Coupe
Revealed last month at the Los Angeles Motor Show, the BMW M2 CS, an exclusive version of the BMW M2, has just received its American prices. And the bill is very high. The BMW M2 Competition was already listed at $59,895. The CS version takes a huge leap forward by asking no less than $84,595!
This incredible price is similar to that of a much larger car, the latest BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, which starts in the United States at $84,900. Fortunately, the BMW M2 CS is very different from the BMW M2 Competition. The engine is the 3.0L in-line six from the BMW M4. It develops in the M2 CS 444 hp directly to the rear wheels.
This is 39 hp more than the M2 Competition. There is an adaptive suspension and carbon fibre body components. The 19-inch Y-shaped wheels also feature a specific design. The 7-speed automatic transmission is an option, as are the ceramic carbon brakes.
As mentioned above, the BMW M2 CS is equipped with a lot of carbon fibre. Examples include the roof, hood, centre console, rear diffuser and mirrors. If we add a few more rare options, the final price of the BMW M2 CS could be close to $100,000!
