Its been quite a while since we have seen a proper nerve tingling BMW M car. The M2 has been the guiding light for the M division. The M2 is the most liked M car right now. BMW now has given us the ultimate M car. Welcome to the BMW M2 CS. An M2 loaded with carbon fibre and a manual gearbox.
The car was due to be launched at the LA auto show but images of the M car we all crave for have leaked.
The CS has as much power as its sibling, the BMW M3. The CS packs 444bhp and 406lb ft. The M2 CS will do 62mph in 4 seconds with the manual gearbox, and it is capable to do 62mph in 3.8 seconds with the dual clutch gearbox.
Weight reduction has been the key for this car. A CFRP bonnet, carbon roof and a a carbonfibre transmission tunnel are there for reducing the weight.
The manual gearbox in the Alcantara interior is the star of the interior. The interior is further beautified with some red-stitched leather.
The M2 CS is loaded with carbon. It has a naked carbon roof, boot lip spoiler, front splitter, rear diffuser and mirror housings. The vast brake discs and M callipers are also carbon.
The high-gloss jet-black are standard while a gold matte finish is an option. Michelin Cup 2 tires are also on offer for enhanced performance.
The M2 CS might not be very fast, but it certainly will be a whole lot more enjoyable with the manual gearbox available as standard. That's the point that we all like. While we do appreciate the enhanced performance of M cars, we all want them to be one of the most fun cars on the planet, and that's what the M2 CS might turn out to be.
Only 2200 will be built and not all of them will be available in your country, so you need to get a move on and get to the BMW showroom near you if you want to fancy a chance of buying one.
