And I love it
A Mercedes is essentially just a car. You need it, you use it, you like it. But then you can add Maybach to the equation and it becomes unnecessary, luxury for the sake of luxury, you can love it or hate it but you don't need it. Brabus is the same thing except you replace the word 'luxury' with 'madness'. And Brabus being Brabus, they've developed a new car based on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
It is unnecessarily powerful and fast, powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the standard 600 4MATIC, but the company has fitted the PowerXtra B40S-800 performance upgrade. In plain English, it means the 800 now delivers 800 PS (788 bhp and 701 lb-ft. They call it a black supercar, and they say it does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 186 mph.
They've obviously removed every Mercedes and Maybach emblem and replaced them all with a Brabus logo. It's painted black with Dark Shadow Grey accents and massive 24-inch Monoblock 'dish' rims.
The cabin is orange. Really orange. Brabus calls it 'Leonis Orange' and Leonis Orange leather was used for everything from the seats to the door panels and the dashboard. I don't mind it. Good luck keeping it clean and shiny, though. And the price? Who knows. The Brabus 800 is built to order and customers have access to virtually limitless options in terms of colours, designs and materials.

An epic vehicle in a more subtle spec
Don't get me wrong, I won't moralize on 'compensation' or sell some communist sh*t - if one earned his wealth, he should enjoy it.
But, this kind of excess appeals to people that must have some kind of mental hole to fill. Noone mentally accomplished would choose this over a regular SUV.
Over a regular GLS or even AMG - everything more is buying a car for the purpose of showing off, not the car itself. This doesn't send a message that you're succesfull but that you feel the need to agressively demonstrate that or simply 'piss on the poor'. And that is one of those mental holes in life - not to mention total absence of empathy to people around you.
That swatch-toxedo-pink trick one can do with a MINI if has enough selfconfidence, parking it in front of a casino in Monaco - yet no overpriced german tuner can give one the same if that one hasn't got in him.
I probably sound like Eddie Kraatch but you wrote about Genesis earlier - and that is what you need for a party trick, not this monstrousity.
Or to simplify, since you're in BG - this is something to see parked in front of 'splavovi' clubs, featuring cheap drugs, booze and women, along the trash music that defines the downfall of value system we used to have.
