I had the good fortune of being one of the co-producers on Director Damon Ristau's latest film "The Bug: Life and Times of the People's Car." It tells the story of the connection between the iconic Beetle and the millions of people who have come to embrace the car-both past and present. "The Bug" not only delves into the amazing history behind the car, but also highlights one enthusiast's journey in reviving a long forgotten 1960 Beetle in Montana. If the name Damon Ristau sounds familiar it's because he was also responsible for the award winning documentary, "The Bus." Whether you're a "car person" or not, I can guarantee you will enjoy this film. It's a great trip down memory lane for anyone who grew up in an era when these cars were still plentiful on roads across the world. Also featured in the film is Ewan McGregor, an avid VW fanatic, as well as Randy Carlson owner and operator of www.oldbug.com and the Carchaeology DriveTribe (be sure to look him up.) We recently partnered up with Adam Carolla and Nate Adams of Chassy Media to distribute the film via their new automotive themed film company Chassy Media. Stay tuned to the Oh Bugger! DriveTribe for all of the latest developments with this and other exciting upcoming feature films!
