The 'Bullitt' Mustang is the Most Valuable Muscle Car in the world
Famous for being driven by the 'King of Cool' - Steve McQueen in a 11 minute car chase that has turned into the most iconic car chase ever, the 1968 Highland Green Ford Mustang GT is now one of the coolest cars of all time.
Yesterday, it was auctioned off by Mecum auctions. It sold for $3.7 million, making this the most valuable muscle car in the world. That is more than the price of the average Bugatti Chiron.
I did a quick search on the most expensive muscle cars sold at auction and this was more valuable than the 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible 4 Speed that sold for $3.5 million, that car was in perfect condition. This shows being iconic does carry a price.
