THE CAROLL SHELBY $100 BILL GAME

Autocar UK tries to play Carol Shelby's $100 bill with game with five different cars with different levels of performance.

There are uncountable legends about the Carroll Shelby and all of them are absolutely captivating. One of the legends says that the legend loved to play what was called the ‘$100 Bill Game’ with people. The game was simple, Carroll Shelby would place a $100 bill on the dashboard of a Shelby Cobra 427 ad all the passenger would needed to do was to pick up the bill when the car was under full acceleration. If they were able to do it, the $100 bill was theirs, simple.

That was back in the 1960’s when a $100 bill had much significance. That aid, the blokes at Autocar decided to test this game by Carroll Shelby in a series of modern and increasingly fast cars namely a Renault Zoe, a Ford Fiesta ST200, a mammoth Bentley Bentagya, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofoglio and even an Aston Martin DB11.
