The contenders for "2021 World car of the year" have been revealed

Check out the categories and competitors and get ready to vote!

On March the 31st, at the New York Motor Show, the winners for "2021 World car of the year" will be announced. Jurors including Auto Express' editor-in-chief, Steve Fowler and columnist Mike Rutheford have just brought out to us the 4 categories in which a total of 49 contenders will have to compete.

Before I show-off the competitors and let you know about the categories, here is what I have planed over the next days and weeks to come: Every three or four days, I will publish a "ranking" poll taking care of each and every category and including all the listed cars so you can vote for which car you think should be the winner in every class. We need to have as many people as possible to vote for those polls in order to get a true winner in the end, therefor picking the best of every 4 categories. Obviously, for this to be realistic, try and vote as sensibly as you can, not only focusing on the looks or brand image. If this works out, it will be interesting to compare the result we got compared to the one announced on the 31st of March!

Anyway, without further due, let's meet the contestants:

About this last category, I realise that voting out of 24 cars might be a bit laborious, which is why I'll be splitting it into 12 cars to vote for before letting you pick the one out of two winners having come first in part one and part two of the final class.

Finally, I hope you'll be taking part in the upcoming votes and try and gather as many people into this poll series as possible. Thanks for reading!
