I was lucky enough to see this car and speak to its owner when I saw it at a Ferrari gathering at the Scotch Mist in La Crescenta, CA in 1973. A funny note was that I was with a friend who had a new 1973 Datsun 240Z. The owner of the 365 P asked us if we drive a sports car and we said, yes, a 240Z and he said “a what?” Beautiful. He said that he had Ferrari build the car special for him. I haven’t seen it or thought about it much since. It does make me wonder…
