Today, Netflix shared the trailer for season 3 of Drive to Survive and it might just be the best way to look back on what was one of the most eventful years for Formula One.
Although the trailer is good to have, there are still many questions which fans across the globe need answers to - here are the answers to some of them!
When will it be released?
Netflix confirmed the release date of the full season as soon as they release their teaser last month. Season 3 is set to be released on March 19, just before the start of the 2021 season.
Which drivers and teams will be focused on the most?
Going off the trailer itself, it appears that the third season will try its best to go over all the drivers and teams however, some teams and drivers will be seen on the show far more than others.
It’s suspected that the Haas F1 will have a lot of screen time due to the tough season they had, the fact that both drivers were participating in their last season and Romain Grosjean’s humongous crash.
The trailer also reveals that there will be a lot of focus on Mercedes-AMG driver, Valtteri Bottas. The Finn had an incredibly unlucky season and did not finish anywhere near his teammate, Lewis Hamilton. Whether Valtteri would actually retain his seat for 2021 was one of the main questions on the minds of many fans during the seasons and, even though he has been confirmed for this year, nothing has been said about this year onwards.
One of the main success stories of 2020 was McLaren as they managed to finish third in the consturctor’s championship, their best finish since the 2013 season. This, tied together with Lando Norris’ lack of screen time in previous seasons, will undoubtedly result in the British team receiving more attention than its competitors.
Is it worth a watch?
Drive to Survive is one of the most famous shows amongst the automotive community, but, is it worth a watch?
Although it does focus on stuff that the viewer already knows about, it does offer that extra bit of insight into the sport which you simply cannot get if you are not involved with the spot - you should certainly watch the series if you are an F1 fan who watched last season and wish for more.
