The "F1" number plate is reportedly the most sought after number plate in the U.K.. Business person, Afzal Kahn owns the number plate, which he paid £440,000 for in 2008. The plate has previously had offers for £6 million, and has previously been listed for sale for £10 million.
What car would you put the F1 plate on? - Image from Kahn Automobiles
The most expensive number plate ever sold in the UK previously is "25 O", which sold for £518,480 in 2014, to a classic car dealer. The number plate was to be fitted to a Ferrari 250 GT SWB at that time.
Now, the owner of the "F1" number plate has listed the plate for sale once again. This time, the number plate is set to break U.K. records, and has been listed for sale for a whopping £12 million. I wonder if Lewis Hamilton will put an offer in?

It's not even on a Mclaren for God sake.
That's what it needs to be put on
It had been on his McLaren, and his rolls, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Range Rover, defender,g wagon, 2 x Bugatti’s just to name a few. The McLaren was and SLR F1 in Black
I would offer 250 for it
I'd put it on a Lada just to piss of all those posers willing to pay so much for a lousy plate
...or on a Dacia Sandero. James May would love it
I actually saw “F1” bowling down Church Rd in Hove two weeks ago. It was adorning a Ferrari 599GTO, looks good but £12,000,000 for two pieces of plastic?? Has the world gone MAD!!!
Its on a Bugatti, or should be
That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. Honestly 400000 for a plate. We can do our own plate numbers and letters here for 100 bucks or so. I still don't do it. Ridiculous
You can get them for 100 if you get ones no one wants but everything is worth what the highest bidder wants to pay in this case 400k
Doesn't make it any less ridiculous. It's a number plate not gold bars.
