The Ferrari We Need Instead of SF90: The Ferrari Aliante Barchetta
The Ferrari Aliante Barchetta is the Ferrari we need instead of the SF90. I know that is a big statement but, seriously we need a Ferrari like this. Even though the car is just a design by Daniel Soriano López, it reminds me what Ferrari were. Here is a design where no rules and regulations apply, just being a petrolhead matters.
According to the designer, the Ferrari Aliante was created by him and two of his colleagues as a thesis project in 2011 which took part in Ferrari World Design. After some pro experience with companies he decided to redesign the car (in his free time) just to make himself happy. The result of happiness is a petrolhead's dream. A Ferrari that works with the modern laws of aerodynamics, powers itself with the best of old and reminds you what a pure car is all about.
I love the body, especially the air intakes showing on the engine. It reminds me of the Ferrari 312 P, mixed with the blood of the F40 and the Enzo to create beautiful car you just want to push to the limits.
What powers this beauty is a naturally aspirated flat 12 with individual throttle bodies (each cylinder has its own air intake instead of having a common one), a manual gearbox and no electronic aids. I do believe that this is a Ferrari we need instead of the SF90, something raw, powerful, no rules, no regulations, no need for 0-60 and top speed, just a car with the sole purpose of it being made for a petrolhead.
