The finest possible tribute to founder Ferruccio Lamborghini: The Centenario

This Maisto Lamborghini Centenario is a fantastic way to spend $15 on a car worth millions

So you want a Lamborghini Centenario in your garage. But you don't have the millions to even maintain one. Well Costco has a cure for you. Yep Costco. If you enter the large warehouse of a store, you see lots of technology, clothing and food. But did you know there is a stack of hidden gems awaiting you? If your lucking and you are willing to explore the store to find them, you will stumble upon a large section of Maisto 1/18 models. Now you can spend your time choosing your favorite car of the bunch. Just to warn you though, you will struggle to decide which car you want.

The first time I got a Maisto 1/18 model from Costco, me being a lover of diecast models and cars I struggled very badly to decide which car I wanted most. There was every thing from Dodge vipers, C8 Corvettes and classic muscle cars to modern hypercars. After searching a while I still wasn't sure what I wanted. Then out of the corner of my eye I spotted a red Laferrari. It had some many details just that you could see in the box I knew it would be the best choice. I made the right decision. However today we are discussing the Centenario. My dad went out to Costco, while a stayed home to do school and some chores. He was cool enough to pick up a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 and this Lamborghini Centenario. I was beyond happy and surprised.

First Impressions

Just the colors and the stance of the Centenario strike out and excite. I am very impressed with how much carbon fiber texture is present throughout the model. The front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, wheels, mirrors and trunk have carbon textures. Even the engine bay is outlined with carbon fiber, which is just outstanding. The raging bull emblem is seen all over the model from the front nose to the doors. It constantly reminds you of who produced this mighty machine. When you open the trunk of the bull, you notice just how tiny of a compartment you get. The front of the trunk is outlined in carbon fiber. The trunk is so small that I don't think you can even fit a small Lego brick in it. But it is nice that it is there. You really notice how wild this hypercar is. The aggressive angles and intimidating fender vents inspire attraction.

The interior

Just cause it is beautiful on the outside doesn't mean the interior is perfect. And even though the Centenario's interior isn't perfect its comes pretty close. All the buttons and controls are painted in a shining silver and the headrests feature the raging bull. However those don't come close to being as cool as the red start stop button, awaiting a press to spark the naturally aspirated 6.5 L V-12 into life. The center screen features all of your controls and displays just like the real car. The doors are even textured in carbon fiber and the raging bull appears again on the steering wheel. Parts of the steering column are even carbon fiber. The gauge cluster displays your Rev counter in blue and red and will track your gears and top speed with flair. The bucket seats will fit you snug and the rear view mirrors hangs from the roof. Lastly you may notice the silver "Lamborghini" lettering to remind your passenger what they are peeing their pants in.

V-12 engine bay

The glass and louvers hide the monstrous 6.5 L V-12 that produces 759 horsepower and 509 lb ft of torque. When you lift the bonnet to reveal the engine, the first thing you notice is all the carbon fiber. All your liquid compartment caps are textured and painted in silver. The V-12 emblem displays on the front of the intake manifold and above rests the Lamborghini lettering on each side. Written in silver, it truly shines. The cross bar adds to the exotic design and it is just an amazing sight to see.

The Lamborghini Centenario is wild. Diverse. Unique. And just outstandingly crafted for a value of $15. Everything from the start stop button to the bonnet catch your interest and the model is close to perfect for the price. I highly recommend you take a trip to either Costco or Sams club to check out if they have any models in store for you. As always if you enjoy don't forget to bump and follow! Have an excellent day!
