The Ford F-150 Lightning is making a comeback
On May 19th, the new Ford Lightning will be unveiled in all of its glory.
The Ford F-150 Lightning, the brilliant performance truck built in the early 2000s, is coming back to life. Only, in a very, very different form.
The new Ford F-150 Lightning will be the name for the new all-electric Ford F-150. And while that might sound a bit wrong, think again. The new Lightning will be faster than the original F-150 Lightning truck, promising to honor the name it bears.
While we don't fully know everything about the revered Lightning revival, we will know everything on May 19th, when Ford will debut the new Ford F-150 Lightning. The Debut will be on Ford's social media platforms, as well as on big screens in Times Square in New York City and on the Las Vegas Boulevard.
And while Ford isn't showing us anything with the direct Lightning nameplate, Ford has shown us their electric F-150 in action. Earlier, we reported that the electric F-150 towed over 1 million pounds. Odds are, the final product will look quite a bit similar to the truck you see above, with some Lightning plates peppered about and some unique interior trim.
