The Ford Mach-E GT Performance edition is here to top the range
It has an estimated 3.5-second 0-60mph time which isn't bad at all when you consider the weight.
At the end of last year, Ford rolled out its brand new all-electric Mach-E and it was a huge move by the global giant and it was received very well. But now they have come out with the GT Performance edition and it's looking even more promising, especially in yellow.
Ford has said the Performance Edition is aiming to achieve a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds which is a huge improvement on the 3.7 time of the normal variant.
It is powered by a 480hp motor and produces 634 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, this version of the Mach-E has a number of visual upgrades including optional 20-inch wheels, a new grille and uprated Brembo brakes.
The exterior is all well and good, but the interior has had some improvements too. Its front seats have become sportier and are covered in what Ford calls ActiveX with little Miko reflective inserts. On top of that, the instrument cluster is now finished in a unique aluminum finish which looks rather smart.
In terms of spec, the Mach-E Performance Edition comes with the option for a few different colours including cyber orange metallic, dark matter gray metallic, rapid red metallic, star white metallic, grabber blue metallic to name a few.
Ford predicts the 2021 Mach-E GT Performance Edition will have a range of around 235 miles which is roughly 5 miles more than the standard one which is surprising considering the extra performance you are getting.
If you want one, orders are now open and reservation holders can opt into the Performance Edition package closer to the vehicle's production date. And dealers should start seeing them at some point next year.
