Forza Motorsport 7 is due to be unleashed upon the UK on the 29th of September as an Xbox Play Anywhere title and October 3rd for the deluxe and standard edition. Microsoft has revealed this gorgeous final trailer featuring only 4K in-game footage which looks absolutely drop-dead stunning and more importantly a three-car, three track demo version to give us a taste of whats to come.
Microsoft has confirmed the demo will be split into a trio of “unique racing experiences” allowing players to access three different cars across three different tracks. Amongst the trio is the titles cover star the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 RS on Dubai’s circuit’s Jebel Hafeet Pass. The remaining two cars are the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo and Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck on the Nurburgring Grand Prix Circuit and Mugello respectively.
Other additions to the Forza 7 over its predecessor include variable weather. In Forza 6 players could pick the weather which would then be consistent throughout the race. Now, it will vary during races meaning that your race could start in perfect conditions before massive amounts of game-changing rain arrive to slow your progress.
To provide you all with some sort of perspective, I have spent some time with the demo, and there should be no doubt the visuals are immense. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS sports a highly detailed interior while everything around you looks simply stunning in terms of the track and rival car animations.
As for the game dynamics, for anyone returning from Forza 6 or the more recent horizons entry then it all feels very familiar. With minimum driver aids, I was quickly lapping the GT2 RS like a pro. I’ll be reserving full judgement until I spend more time with the full game early next month but it all looks highly promising so far.
Forza 7 will launch on PC, Xbox One and Xbox One X, Microsoft’s uber powerful new high-resolution model that launches on Nov. 7. This will allow players to run the game in 4K at 60 frames per second.
