The future RAM Rebel TRX will receive a 6.2L Hellcat V8
We already know that a sporty and radical version of the RAM 1500 pickup truck is planned for this year. From now on, it's the leakage of an engine plate that confirms the motorization of the future RAM Rebel TRX. And the least we can say is that the brand didn't go halfway!
Indeed, the RAM Rebel TRX will receive the mythical 6.2L Hellcat V8. This engine is at the top of the range of high performance powertrains in the FCA group. It is used by the Dodge Challenger and Charger as well as the Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk. Thus armed, the future RAM Rebel TRX will be able to serenely take on the Ford F-150 Raptor.
This leaked image comes from the American publication The Fast Lane Truck. We also learn the presence of a 2380 cc compressor. Mysteriously, some values remain unknown and are replaced by XXX, which would actually mean that this image would have leaked voluntarily since these data remain protected.
As a reminder, the 6.2L Hellcat V8 is by no means a new engine. It first appeared under the hood of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in 2015 and developed 707 hp at the time. Since then, the engine has been reworked over and over again to produce no less than 840 hp under the hood of the Dodge Challenger Demon today.
