The Grand Tour - behind the scenes with the Conversation Street owl

On 12th September 2016 just two months before The Grand Tour launched Clarkson, Hammond and May went to the West London Film Studios in Hayes to film some of the 'stings' or leader pieces for 'Conversation Street'. One of those, used on Episode 5 of Series one, involved getting up close and personal with an owl.

Jason Ashcroft, the falconer who owns Liberty, the owl used for the filming, posted these snaps from behind the scenes on his Facebook page.

As you can see working with animals can be a bit hair raising, but it looks like thay had fun.

Jason Ashcroft the falconer originally published these pictures on his facebook page in September 2016. I thought they were worth sharing here, it's interesting to see a different perpective on something we are familiar with. I love owls so I'm particularly interested in this one, hope you liked the photos.
