Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May will be returning to Amazon Prime on December 8th (Which means if we go by last year's release schedule, viewers in America might be able to catch on the action TONIGHT, December 7th), and Amazon's latest efforts to drum up interest involved converting a typical New York City coffee shop into a place for recliner racing.
The hidden cameras, the paid actors, and the unsuspecting customers follows the traditional lame approach found in "What Would You Do?" shows and Chevrolet's "Real People" commercials. The true genius and comedy that's unfortunately not shown, however, is the scenario where people are drinking hot coffee and operating motorized furniture in a bumper-car like environment. NOW THAT would be a true advertisement done in The Grand Tour fashion.
