The Grand Tour Promotes Season 2 With Interactive Battle Cars Game

To celebrate the impending premiere of The Grand Tour season 2, Amazon unveiled a promotion that probably has never been seen before. Remember season one's Battleship game with real cars? Yup.

Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, hosted this event on December 2nd, where the game "board" was live streamed from a Los Angeles quarry, attracting an estimated 3.3 million viewers total.

Different sections of the "board" represented various geographic regions, with each region commanded by a Twitch personality from countries such as the US, UK, and Mexico. Viewers were able to join teams via Twitch and participate by selecting tiles.

Twitch said that this promotion was the largest custom extension ever produced for a Twitch broadcast to date. What a great way to promote the second season of The Grand Tour! Everyone loves to watch cars fall and explode...right?
