The Grand Tour's future confirmed: “The guys are fearless and will go anywhere."
It seems our "fearless" trio can't wait to be back on the road
With the world on the edge of their seats, waiting with baited breath for the next instalment in season 4 of The Grand Tour - the Madagascar special - we have at least had some fantastic news from Amazon regarding the trio.
During an interview at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Georgia Brown - Director of European Originals for Amazon - revealed that there will indeed be more episodes of The Grand Tour produced, in spite of the current travel difficulties the world is facing.
It seems we're in for plenty more SPEED and POWER on our screens
It seems that Clarkson, Hammond and May do actually rather enjoy their jobs - who knew? Georgia explains that “Of all of our talent, these guys are fearless. They will go anywhere, they will do anything. So no, it continues. We have more Grand Tour coming, we have more of their individual projects coming."
That bodes well for fans of spin-off shows too. With Clarkson's farming show hopefully near to being released and Hammond's science show with Tori Belleci having been confirmed, it seems that we'll be seeing more work from Mr May following his "Our man in Japan" series too - top news!
Hopefully we'll see the boys back on our screens sooner rather than later. YouTube: Jose Miguel Claro
Confirming that once they are able to get back on the road there won't be any negative impacts on the show, Brown said The Grand Tour will still be "Grand" - "We’re not downsizing, put it that way.”
Now, if only we could get the next episode... Pretty, pretty please Amazon?
