The greatest movie car chases: Our picks
Bullitt and that reappearing Beetle? The never-ending Dodge Charger roundabout drift in Dukes of Hazzard? They're all here, but do you agree with us?
Bullitt
Because no car chase shortlist is complete without Steve McQueen and his '68 Ford Mustang GT. And yes, that green VW Beetle does appear many times.
bOURNE iDENTITY
Okay, so the bit with the stairs does seem a tad unrealistic since the Mini would likely have come out at the end of it as spare parts. Even so, this car chase scene around Paris is one of the best going.
The cannonball Run
It's a Lamborghini Countach being driven with intent. You need more justification than that?
Un Homme et une Femme
A bit of an obscure one, but great fun to watch. We're pretty sure that this is how car mags did group tests back in the day.
Dukes of Hazzard
The 2005 Dukes of Hazzard features some of the best stunt driving going. "What is the purpose of these circles?" Well, to drift around. Obviously.
Goldfinger
We couldn't very well do this without mentioning a Bond film. The iconic Aston Martin DB5 in Goldfinger, complete with ejector seat, ranks as our favourite.
RONIN
Another classic. This scene from Ronin is seriously tense, and seriously brilliant.

Very weak list. No French Connection? No Mad Max? No Drive? No The Driver? No Gone in Sixty Seconds? No Hooper?
My post is a list of mine. Are you praying for me?
No "Vanishing Point"? And what's the deal with Goldfinger, one of the worst car chases in a Bond-movie?
These are great!! Reposted to First Class Movie Cars 🙂
Mmmm and what about “The Burglars” European name “Le Casse” starring Omar Sharriff Jean Paul Belmondo and Dyan Cannon? The legendary stunt driver Remy Julienne did the chase, it is epic, YouTube it and do yourself a favour.
what about the first Italian job
