America, F**k yeah.

By Tom White

Hennessey, the US tuning company most famous for holding the world record for the fastest production car ever built (sort of…) has a new product for customers with more money than sense.

Meet the Goliath 6x6. For when your already gigantic American truck isn't offensive enough.

Hennessy has grabbed a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, extended it out, added a whole extra axle (who doesn't need an extra axle…) and supercharged the 6.2-litre V8 so that it now produces more than 525kW/915Nm.

Will the cupholders take my one-gallon Coke though?

It's also been lifted by 20cm (you read that right, 20cm) to accommodate the 37-inch tyres and 20-inch wheels.

Hennessy is so confident the supercharged engine won't explode, it offers it with a three-year warranty.

How much for this monstrosity? US$375,000 (that's AU$516,343) including the base Silverado.

Oh, but wait. There are options. You can get a ‘stroker motor upgrade' boosting power to north of 600kW and, of course, Brembo brakes.

Hennessy says it'll make just 24 units which will be available worldwide.

What do you lack that you need this truck to compensate for? Tell us in the comments.

  • Ity would make perfect sense to have it a little lower to pull a goose neck trailer. With air ride....cab and suspension.

  • Only 915 Nm torque? Those are rookie numbers. The 2009 Bentley Brooklands had 1050 Nm.
