The inevitabile No Time to Die 'Omega' trailer
Sure as eggs is eggs
Bond producers have been working around the clock to turn a global problem into an opportunity. As we all know, No Time to Die was supposed to hit the screen last May but it was postponed because of you-know-what and Eon productions, the company that owns the Bond brand, has spent the last few months posting videos, pictures and teaser trailers across various social media channel. Other social media channels, both directly and indirectly linked with Bond and Hollywood movies in general, have also shared similar videos.
We've had the Nokia plug, the Swatch plug and now, sure as eggs, there's the Omega trailer.
As someone in the comments correctly points out, "James Bond is the only franchise to get away with such blatant product placement in the coolest, classiest way possible". That is true.
In the upcoming 007 movie, Bond will be wearing an Omega Seamaster 300m, coming in with a COSC-certified movement, a grade II titanium 42 mm case with 48 lug-to-lug and 20 mm lug width. Because it's made of titanium, it is obviously very light, tipping the scales at just 73 grams. The dial is protected by a slightly domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
Water resistance, as the name suggests, is 300 metres and it also comes with the signature helium escape valve at the 10 o'clock. I personally love it but I know that some people don't want to see anything other than the crown at the 3 on their watch.
RRP is $9,200 on the titanium bracelet in the US and around £7,000 in the UK.
