The Jannarelly Design-1 is an £86,000 blast from the past
Jannarelly Automotive has launched its Le Mans-inspired sports car, the Design-1
Way back in 2016 a company called Jannarelly Automotive showed off their new Le Mans-inspired sports car. The new vehicle would feature a Nissan-derived 3.5 liter Naturally Aspirated V6, which would be mated to a manual gearbox! The car would put out a reported 300 HP, with prices starting at just £45,000.
Jannarelly described the car as being a “classic Le Mans racers” brought up to date. It is meant to provide a “classic motoring experience” but “with reliability and practicality afforded by using modern materials”.
However, nearly 4 years later we haven't heard much of anything from the Dubai-based automaker, until now. A new report from Jannarelly themselves has stated that the newly revised Design-1 will get a power bump up to 325 HP, which will scoot the new car to 60 MPH in under 4.0 seconds!
The Design-1 can now be had in speedster form, with a full-size windscreen, or in the simply gorgeous coupe-spec. Customisation levels like with many high-end sports cars are said to be massive. However, the price should be expected to skyrocket with the plentiful options list.
On top of that Anthony Jannarelly has now announced that the beautiful new sports car is available for purchase in the UK! However, it does come with one big caveat. The Design-1 will now start at £86,000. Furthermore, only 499 examples of this gorgeous racer will ever be built, and I doubt that there will be any left for much longer.
