The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is coming to the UK
Fans of super-SUVs can rejoice as the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is coming to the UK in the coming weeks in right hand drive form for the first time.
The Trackhawk is powered by the same engine found in the Hellcat line of models by Dodge, meaning that this SUV has a supercharged V8 producing 710bhp and 868Nm of torque. Thanks to an AWD system and an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the Trackhawk is able to do the 0-62mph sprint in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 180mph. This makes the Trackhawk a solid rival to the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes GLE 63 AMG and Range Rover Sport SVR.
The Trackhawk is more than a powerhouse too as Jeep has fitted it with a Brembo brake system, Bilstein adaptive dampers and Jeep's own Selec-Trac driving modes which come with five different settings for road and track use.
The Trackhawk’s exterior remains unchanged from the US market model which isn’t a bad thing as it was already aggressive enough for most people. This means it still has flared wheel arches, quad exhausts, 20-inch wheels and various Trackhawk badging.
The standard interior for the UK model includes Laguna leather seats which have an embroidered Trackhawk logo and lots of electrical adjustments. To accent the leather, the interior comes with a premium metal trim package which combines carbon fibre and aluminium.
Other standard equipment includes a 7 inch display in the instrument cluster, an 8.4 inch on the dashboard which houses the car’s infotainment system. This runs Uconnect and offers support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 825 watt Harman Kardon sound system is standard and includes 19 speakers, some with subwoofers. One of the best features is the speedometer which goes up to 200mph which is just pure teasing from Jeep. A wide range of safety features and driver aids are included.
This all sounds good, right? You'll love the price then as the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk starts at just £89,999. Yes, that's right. You're paying £90k for a fully loaded 710bhp SUV. However, only 20 are being brought over to the UK making this a rare beast.
