The Lada 4x4 gets a more luxurious interior

But not yet luxurious!

The antique Lada 4x4 allias Lada Niva has just been updated, once again. Lada's goal is simple: delay the arrival of a new generation as much as possible in order to contain development costs. As a result, the 4x4 adapts to the latest standards and survives, while retaining the same design as in the 1970s.

Since its release, the Lada 4x4 has not undergone any significant changes. The chassis of the model has remained the same. To face the year 2020 with dignity, Lada has nevertheless offered the 4x4 some welcome improvements. For example, on Urban models, there are fog lamps integrated into the front bumper.

On the inside, however, the differences are much more marked. The air conditioning unit is new and the ventilation flaps have also been redesigned to optimize their efficiency when it comes to cooling and heating the passenger compartment. The glovebox has been redesigned to be larger while the seats have been reshaped.

Nothing new under the hood. The Lada 4x4 still has a 1.7L atmospheric petrol engine with 84 hp. It's combined with a five-speed manual gearbox. This engine, which is extremely reliable, is naturally combined with all-wheel drive. The Lada 4x4 does 0 to 62 mph in 17 s and its top speed is 88 mph. The prices are unknown.

  • I think it’s cool that something like this still exists, long may it. If you were wanting something super basic that you can bounce through a forest then this is it. Good for them.
