It's been over two years since we lost Dr John Hinds, who was providing medical cover for the 2015 Skerries 100 event in Northern Ireland.
The BBC has put together a fitting article for the man, whom I knew personally. He really was as keen a motorcyclist as you could meet, with a giant garage for tinkering with his toys, a Honda RC30 among them. I admired the man so much I even attempted to paint my own Arai in 'DocJohn orange' which didn't go too well...
John always campaigned for an Air Ambulance service for Northern Ireland, which at the time was the only European country without one. Following his death his dream of a dedicated air ambulance came to fruition.
He also has some funny and informative videos on YouTube about how he dealt with road racing crashes which I'll link to below. Rest in peace Doc.

We really recommend a watch of this video, it's brilliant.
