The Lucid Air can travel 520 miles on a single charge

EPA tested and certified

Lucid Motors officially announced that its Air Dream Edition R can travel 520 miles on a charge, EPA-tested and certified.

This puts them miles ahead of competition - literally. American car magazine Motor Trend called this a ‘mic drop’. And it’s easy to see why.

I still firmly believe that infrastructure and charging times are more important than range - because even if your car could achieve 5,000 miles on a range, sooner or later you’re gonna have to recharge it, but 520 miles is properly impressive.

“I’m delighted that our Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has been officially accredited with a range of 520 miles by the EPA, a number I believe to be a new record for any EV,” said Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson. “Crucially, this landmark has been achieved by Lucid’s world-leading, in-house EV technology, not by simply installing an oversize battery pack.”

The Air is available starting from $77,400 ($69,900 after federal tax credit) and can be reserved with a deposit of $300.
