The safety car, red flag, multi-car crash, strategy intrigue and outright racing you name it Mugello offered it excess, yes the final result isn't exciting as it was in Monza last week but oh boy this race was just as mad as 2020

There was a point in the race where Daniel Ricciardo was on for his 1st podium for Renault with Lance stroll keeping him honest till he crashed and brought in the red flag for the 2nd time, yes you've read it right two red flags in one race that's how crazy it was .
I'll divide this race into 4 parts
Race start, the safety car, 1st red flag restart, and 2nd red flag restart
RACE START

At the start, bottas got the best of Hamilton and lead the Grand Prix till until Pierre gasly crashed into struggling Max Verstappen who had a great initial start but struggled in the second phase of the launch due to engine electronic problems which saw him drop down the grid and eventually getting stuck in the gravel after Pierre Gasly collided with him with no fault of his own which saw both drivers retire from the race and bring in the safety car and keep in mind all this happened in just first three corners.

SAFETY CAR RESTART
This particular incident changed the whole race

After the safety car ended Valtteri Bottas Led the pack and took his sweet time till last possible moment just before the start-finish line to get the race started which saw a couple of drivers misjudging the start and went off early only to realise that race leader hasn't started the race and eventually getting hard on the brakes and creating a huge multi-car collision between Kevin Magnussen, Nicholas Latiffi, Antonio Giovinazzi and Carlos Sainz, fortunately, none of the drivers involved got seriously injured and came out of their car in good shape this incident brought the 1st red flag of the race.
1ST RED FLAG RESTART

It was grid start after the red flag and Valtteri was on pole with Lewis Hamilton 2nd on the start lewis had slipstream advantage and got the lead back from Bottas, while Daniel Ricciardo was on the charge from p6 to hunt down Perez, Lance, Charles and Albon for the final podium place which he eventually managed by pulling off some great moves and stayed there till Lance had a terrible tyre failure and crashed heavily into the tire barriers and brought the 2nd and final red flag of the race

2ND RED FLAG RESTART
On the last restart, Hamilton managed to fend off Bottas and kept his lead till the end but as boring, it might sound Hamilton winning again all the action was going on in the back with Alex Albon, Daniel Ricciardo and Perez all challenging the for the last podium spot which Alex eventually getting his long due podium with Daniel Ricciardo finishing 4th to match his best finish for Renault

While this happened in the front there was an exciting race happening in the back for the last 3 points-paying positions between Kimi, Charles, Sebastian, and George Russell and to make it more exciting Kimi had a 5 second time penalty for improperly entering the pitlane but the 40-year-old managed to keep two Ferrari's and George Russel but Charles was under 5-second range behind Kimi which demoted him behind Charles to 9th position still ahead of one Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel.
