The 720S is McLaren's latest venture and so far it has done nothing but impress us with its seriously fast performance, lightweight build and trick aerodynamics. Housing a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 710bhp, we knew it was going to be a missile, but just how fast is it?
McLaren San Francisco have taken to the track and lined up some more than worthy rivals to go head to head Woking's latest supercar. Starting with the 675 LT and then swiftly moving onto the F12tdf, Porsche 918 Spyder and finally the Bugatti Chiron, the 720S makes light work of the majority.
The 675 LT can be described as 'brisk'. Housing the famous 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that pushes out 666bhp, it simply gets walked by its bigger brother, almost to the point of humiliation. Although the LT weighs almost 100kg less, the extra 50bhp of the 720S takes charge. Welcome to the daddy of McLaren!
