Unless you've been under a rock for the past year, you'll know that McLaren have been showing off the F1-successor, the Speedtail. The Speedtail seems like a brilliant car, with a promised top speed of well into the 250mph+ region, a price tag of many millions and the looks of something from 2050.

We knew that the Speedtail would be the fastest and most powerful McLaren since the reveal in early 2019 but now there are official power figures and they live up to expectations.

So, how powerful is the Speedtail then? Well, powerwise, it has 1055bhp which makes it more powerful than the Bugatti Veyron and has 848lb ft of torque which sounds terrifying. This power comes from the familiar McLaren 4.0-litre V8 as seen in many other McLaren models, which will also find it's way into the dropdeap gorgeous Elva.

Other than it's 250mph+ top speed, the Speedtail can launch itself from 0-186mph in just 13 seconds. To put that into comparison, a basic VW Up! does the 0-60mph sprint in a leisurely 13.9 seconds. So, long story short, the Speedtail is stupidly fast.

We want one.
