When I say this car was followed by a wave of hype and publicity I am not exaggerating in the slightest. The car featured in a Fast and Furious film for heavens sake! This car was supposed to be the absolute ultimate blend of performance, external aesthetic presence and interior luxury. This car came out of the middle east after all, a place where luxury knows no limits. Buyers of this car have a selection of rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds, and sapphires to be integrated into the vehicle's headlights at purchase based on the color choice! OH and by the way, whatever overpriced rock you chose, you received a cool 420 of them...The car also featured gold stitching on the seats and a holographic display in the center console.
This luxury came at an absolutely astounding price, I mean a properly sickening price. This cars price tag was a vulgar US$3.4 Million!! Thus making it the third most expensive production car built to date (after the Lamborghini Veneno (US$4.6 million) and Maybach Exelero concept (US$8 million).
The performance figures of this car were just as impressive as the price however. A claimed topspeed of 245mph and a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds. The company claimed this was possible due to the use of a 3.7L twin-turbo flat 6, developed by RUF, the Porsche tuning specialist. This engine would apparently produce 780bhp and 708 lb-ft of torque.
So...there doesn't seem to be a problem with any of this so far? Well, there is. The fact is, is that many people who saw this ultra rare car in the flesh claimed it felt unfinished and the quality was actually terrible. Furthermore, none of these performance claims were ever tested and so for all we know they could be completely false?! Also, although 7 cars were developed, there are just 2 confirmed sales! One of them being the bought Abu Dhabi police force and the other by an anonymous buyer...
So what the bloody hell is it then?!
