The one and only Bertone Mantide has turned up for sale
You might remember this car from Forza 4 way back. Apparently it was a car Bertone actually built. It was red in the video game and was useful completing the boutique supercar class events. They planned on building ten, but only ended up building one. It was red, but now it's white. Excuse me, I meant to say "Bianco Fuji".
In a nutshell, it is a coachbuilt body riding on the chassis and running gear of the legendary supercharged C6 Corvette ZR1. That LS9 engine threw down 638-hp and over 600 pound feet of the torques. That beast of a motor combined with the bespoke carbon fibre body actually made the Mantide quicker and faster than the ZR1. 60mph came and went as soon as 3.2 seconds ticked by, all the way up to 218mph while running at Nardo.
The interior was apparently dipped in a vat of alcantara by the car's current caretaker after it left Bertone's facilities. They also had the stereo upgraded over the donor Corvette's system because I guess that was still a thing back in 2009. The Mantide is currently listed for sale with Autosport Designs out of Long Island, NY, who claim responsibility for bringing this car to US soil originally in 2010. They are selling it again, but you're going to have to ask them how much they are looking to get. I think there's an old cliche about if you have to ask the price of the car...
