The orange is back: McLaren launch all new MCL32
The first post-Ron Dennis era car sees a return to the traditional colour scheme
McLaren has launched their first post-Ron Dennis era car - and has brought back the traditional orange colour scheme.
The MCL32 was unveiled at the team HQ on Friday morning, and features an orange and black livery. McLaren have not raced in the colour since the early days of the team when founder Bruce McLaren was still driving.
But the new car - built to the new 2017 technical regulations - has buckets of it. Former boss Dennis never liked the colour, but after he left his role as team principle late last year the team has decided to bring it back, based on fans' feedback.
McLaren have gone radical with their colour scheme
'I think it's a beautiful piece of art,' new boss Zak Brown said.
'We went through a variety of designs and ultimately this was in response to fans - we had so much outreach from fans saying "we want to have some orange".'
McLaren haven't won a single race since 2012 and drivers Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne will be hoping the new car is far more competitive than its predecessors.
What will Ron Dennis be thinking...?
'This team is highly frustrated that we're not winning races,' Brown told Autosport.
'2016 wasn't a great year by McLaren's standards but it was forward progress and that's what we need to see in 2017. Once we get there, we'll be pretty hard to knock back down.'

Nascars better than f1.probley just triggerd everyone outside of USA
As a US citizen who doesn't agree with this, I am officially triggered. Can I get a badge?
NASCAR is losing viewers both at the circuits and on tv, just like F1. Look at Bristol half mile oval where the stands were half empty for the last race. They both need reinvigorating and I enjoy both types of racing.
Trouble is neither engine nor drivers look good to win anything. Oh my.
McLaren secretly copy and pasted the Spyker F8-VII into their design program.
