(The original draft for Our Little Supra)
So like most families we have that one car that we all love and all cherish. You hope to never say goodbye to it because of all the school runs your parents took you in it and well just the amount of journeys. Our car is our precious little Supra.
Although growing up not really understanding much about the car I surely adore it now. My parents got her when I was about 3 and my Mum always drove her around up until my dad got a passion for buying and doing up all sorts of cars. For ages it was trapped and didn’t move off the drive and every time we had to drive it, it needed a jump start. The poor thing was falling apart, all the rubber was rotting and there was moss growing. A heart break for any car enthusiast indeed.
Finally last year my dad sold a car and put all his attention towards her. Now I could list everything she got either re painted or replaced but just know the list wasn’t short. Sadly the only electronic chair broke so my dad found some orange ones ‘for the mean time.’ Which still haven’t been switched out by the way. Last year she was used all the way up until the first cold night of November. It was so nice to hear her roaring down through town on the way to picking me up from school and then being driven down the long empty roads back home. It completed my summer for sure.
Now she is sat on the drive, all wrapped up in a cover just awaiting the warmer weather again. She had to go out the other day and absolutely glided through her MOT and I’m just itching for her to stay out.
Safe to say I’ve grown very attached to her, although she doesn’t have much done or added to her she’s more than perfect for us. Now this might be a lot to say. But hey I’m just a 17 year old girl who loves her cars.
