The Porsche 914 is about to be reborn
It's not designed by Porsche, but it certainly sounds promising.
The Porsche 914 was a popular car when it was released in 1969, and up until its production end in 1976, the car sold over 100,000 units - making it a commercial success for the Volkswagen Group. Although less loved when compared to other Porsches of the era nowadays, the 914 still marks a significant time in Porsche's history.
UK based bespoke designer, Fifteen Eleven, is attempting to make the Volkswagen/Porsche collaboration popular once again, by designing and soon building brand new Porsche 914s for the prestige market.

The company is branch of World Rally Championship team Mellors Elliot Motorsport, and usually focuses on restoring and resto-modding classic cars. Some of their previous projects have been true works of art, from an immaculate Bosco Green Maserati 3500 GT 'Iniezione' to a one-of-a-kind Ford Escort 'Speedster'.
Their latest project bases itself around a Porsche 987.2 Cayman S, redesigned from the ground up to house the Porsche 914 chassis. New suspension, brakes, wheels have been incorporated, and most impressively, the restomod will retain the Cayman S powertrain - a 3.4 litre, 235kW (320hp) flat-six mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The company plans to have its first completed 914 in a few months time, and are currently accepting offers for the car. No production numbers or cost figures have been stated, and its apparent that the restomod will be available in both left and right hand drive.
