"THE RACE MEETING" // PBIR Event held for DRT 2019
Drivers are given a place to stretch their gears, a truly immersive experience for both show goers and drivers alike at Palm Beach Int. Raceway in FL.
Quite often when you go to shows that have cars like these, which are highly sought after, one of kind, or all together built with passion and elegance in mind (I'm looking at you Singer Vehicle Design) you wouldn't think to find those cars anywhere near a track.
Well, Das Renn Treffen event which does translate to "The Race Meet" and this is where that title became very true.
WELCOME TO DAS RENN TREFFEN RACE DAY AT PALM BEACH INT. RACEWAY.
WHEN YOU COME TO RACE, REMEMBER THE RISK BUT NEVER LET IT FAZE YOU.
Nearly every car that came down for this event took part in the racing and to me that's an amazing treat for spectators and fans of the P-car brand. A lot of the times you'd assume, if you paid anything above 70k for a car, you probably wouldn't take the risk of racing it without understanding or experiencing what racers have come to quote before any beginner or bold hearted driver steps up to the wheel for their lap time, as the saying goes, "Don't race a car your not willing to lose," cause the possibility is very real.
But this event encouraged others to come out and enjoy themselves on the raceway as Ferdinand Porsche would have wanted. He initially stated and I quote, one of the major reasons why they were created was because he "couldn't find the sports car of his dreams so, he built it himself."

I've seen cars like these parked and usually roped off from the masses to keep them from reaching distance, but seeing them in action and hearing that intoxicating exhaust tone was like no other. I was a fan of these cars prior to DRT but this event has fueled my passion for companies like Singer, RWB Rauh Welt Begriff amongst many others in attendance.
IT WAS HEAVEN, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS HOT AS HELL.
GRABBING MOMO GEAR ON SITE, AND TEST IT OUT SAME DAY.
Momo Racing was on site with Rod Emory (more on him in the main event feature) and displaying some of their best gear ranging from racing suits, shoes and gloves to racing wheels of all finishes. For the record, if you're in Florida and are a car enthusiast I highly recommend seeing this 4 day event as it is free. Yes, you read that correctly. After visiting the Momo vendor, I made my way to Migz while he was getting himself a bit closer to the action on the track.
THE MAN OF THE HOUR...DRIVETRIBE AMBASSADOR "MIGZ" IS ON THE SCENE!

Many of us that write for DRIVETRIBE know him by "Christopher Migliozzi" but for the people who have gotten a chance to meet him while out on the field know him better as "Migz." A man with a personality that is as dynamic as his iconic hairstyle and could smooth talk a snail into drinking a salted rim margarita. I followed up with the trail blazing ambassador as he gets himself strapped into a race car Porsche with Osvaldo Vaca founder of "MGM Classics" and with the assistance of Gaston Rossato, President of "The Barn Miami," helping Migz get strapped in properly and doing a final safety inspection prior to their departure to the track. Safety is always a key point in any type of racing or driving you may partake in, so never forget to keep safety in mind at all times.
ALWAYS ALERT, ALWAYS AWARE.

After hours of fun in the sun and the blitzing passes of Ferdinand Porsche's dream sports cars coming to a steady slow down as the drivers let their engines cool and refueled themselves with a good lunch provided to them by PBIR's food catering on site for participating on the track. It was a great day that made you feel accomplished, fulfilled and craving for the next event which is already being talked about, as you can see for yourself in the interview below.

Plenty of high octane action, magnificent cars and rare moments shared amongst amazing people and incredible cars to only remind myself this was only the second day of Das Renn Treffen and I was already looking forward to next years event for DRT 2020.
