THE REAL DEAL

Celebrating 25 years of Type-R!! In 1992, Honda released its first "R" car. It was the NSX-R, and it was available solely in Japan. Honda's aim was to basically develop a road-going racing car, hence the ‘championship white’ paintjob and red Honda emblem. There was no air conditioning, no spare tyre, no traction control, no stereo and no sound deadening. The result was a NSX that shed 120kg of weight, and was blisteringly quick on track. It was powered by the naturally-aspirated C30 DOHC VTEC motor that produced around 206kw and 295nm, and boasts a best time around the Nürburgring of 8:03.86! #TunedAutomotive #SomeShitAboutCars
