The Rimac C_Two will produce 1,887bhp and it’s nearly ready to go
Rimac have revealed the details of the up-and-coming C_Two which looks to take the already incredible electric platform one step further. The Croatian company has started testing the prototypes of their newest model, and these tests will evaluate whether components such as tyres and suspension can match the ludicrous powertrain.
So what is on offer then? The powertrain can produce 1,887bhp. For reference that's more power than two Koenigsegg Ageras with some left over. A 0-62mph time of around 1.85s, and an estimated top speed of 258mph will leave you hanging on to your own skin if you decide to stand on the 'loud' pedal. The C_Two is aimed at showing what the ultimate electric powertrain can do.
While talking about the C_Two and its prototype tests, Mate Rimac said, “We are working hard to shape this car exactly how we imagined it: a new breed of hypercar that unlocks the extreme performance of the electric drivetrain and new driving experience for the driver. At the same time, it will be a technical masterpiece from an engineering point of view. The C_Two will have a new driver feel, highly-communicative handling and first-class dynamics that will define our new car – we want this car to be intuitive and usable, yet sharp and capable. This process of testing and refinement is crucial to ensure we deliver on our promises – driving the C_Two will be something quite different.”
The testing of the 17 prototypes will run until the Geneva Motor Show in 2020, where the car will be revealed. The car will not be called C_Two, so we await to hear what the name will be.
