The most powerful, and quickest SUV on the planet, has finally arrived in South Africa. Jeep’s Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is here, bringing with it some incredible performance stats. The ‘King of SUVs’ runs the 0-100kph sprint in just 3.5 seconds, dusts the quarter mile in 11.6 seconds, and tops out at 290kph. Armed with the same supercharged 6.2-litre V8 from the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk produces an identical 527kw and 881nm, but sends power to all corners via an upgraded TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. As you would expect, the entire driveline has been strengthened to cope with the insane power, while traction is aided by the fitment of an electronic limited-slip rear differential as well as a single-speed active transfer case. Aside from massive Brembo brakes, it gets Bilstein adaptive damping suspension and five drive-modes via its Selec-Track system. It’s price? A cool R2.2 million for a fully loaded Trackhawk, with the only options being paint choices. #TunedAutomotive #AutoAdvisorZA
