THE RS6 AVANT HAS NO RIGHT TO BE THIS FAST
I've never seen a whale move this quick.
Yes, I'm aware that everyone knows the RS6 is a very fast car.
The Internet can't seem to get enough of these things... I just never believed the hype.
Come on, the thing is huge, it weights almost two tonnes (acording to the internet) and Audi is a bit... Meh.
The plan for that Tuesday's shoot was to photograph the Mercedes A45 AMG together with a BMW 1M. After crossing the island to where the dealer is located, some plans where changed and the dealership decided to took the RS6 avant for a spin instead of the Bavarian.
I'm not a fan of Audi or this "avant" type cars. So, as you can expect, I wasn't really thrilled by this last minute change (also because I already had some shots made up in my mind of the 1M vs the AMG) but well, since I had already made the trip there...
We set off with the two cars (plus mine as camera car) and 5 minutes later the driver of the Merc says on the radio that he needs to turn back because he forgot the wallet at the dealership.
So I keep moving on with the Audi to take some solo shots on the way to the location.
Mind this, we are driving on B roads along the coast where straights are short even for my 115hp car. You can imagine when the driver of the Audi decides to put the foot down and that (sorry but that car can only be called this) whale squats and puts what felt a million of kms of distance from me.
I took the radio and said -"hey can we go a little slower? I can't quite keep up" -"okay".
I did caught up but the pace was still "pretty" fast and the Audi looked like it was just, happily skipping along from one corner to the other like this was an easy task for it. No weird body roll, or tyre screeching. Nothing.
Around 15 minutes later, the A45 was back.
We headed to a more quiet piece of road, near a wind farm and I have to be honest. They look better together than I thought and despite of how different they are, I can see why someone could be stuck between picking one of them.
Let me know in the comments wich one would be your weapon of choice. The track focus hatchback or the quite luxury and incredibly fast Avant.

personally, I've always been a fan of the whole Avant series, my favourite being the rs3. The pictures look sick man! my only critique with the RS6 is that obnoxious grille!
I've seen a few people talk about the grill. It doesn't disgust me as much as BMW's but I'm not a really into Audis to be fair.
Minus the grill, I really like the Audi. Nice photos.
