It's often said that the Jaguar E Type is the most beautiful car ever made. But there was a even more beautiful car made in 1967. The car I am talking about is the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale. It's not only pure beauty but rare. This beauty was based on Autodelta Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 racing car.
Sadly, it's super rare. A total of 18 models were ever made between November 1967 and March 1969. But that didn't mean it wasn't in the movie limelight. It was actually in the Italian movie Un Bellissimo Novembre from 1969.
Also the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale made its debut at the 1967 Turin Motor Show. The designers of this lovely goddess were Franco Scaglione and Carrozzeria Marazzi. Its 2L V8 engine produced 227 BHP which meant it wasn't a slug either. The interior of this magnificent beast is also quite stylish as well.
But not as flashy as the outside. Either way this beauty could pack a punch with a top speed of 260km/h(160mph). It reached 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. But before you rush to buy one of these beauties, I must warn you that it's quite costly. Unless you have let's say over $10 million in your wallet.
The prototype was sold to the private Gallery Abarth, Japan. While the second magnesium bodied Stradale prototype and the five other concept cars can be seen at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, Milan.
So don't worry you might still be able to see this beauty around despite it being so rare. A total of two different versions were made of the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale.
Early version with twin headlights
This is the first model with two headlights (in my opinion the loveliest). Probably the most beautiful Alfa Romeo ever produced in the last 51 years. I think I now what's going to be my next wallpaper.
Later version with single lights
This is the second model with only single headlights. There weren't many differences between the two other than the number of headlights and a few styling tweaks here and there.
The Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale could actually be the sexiest car ever made. Don't you agree?
Which one though?
Which of the two versions do you like the most? Let me know what you thought about it in the comments below. All images and videos are from the internet but the writing is my own.
